Selecting a Class
Choose a time that is convenient to you and make yoga a regular part of your life! Each class has its own personality. If a class does not suit you, please try another. Our teachers tailor classes to suit each individuals needs. If youve read our class descriptions and still have questions concerning which class to attend, call or e-mail us and well be glad to help!
Class Descriptions:
Gentle Yoga - A thoughtful, unhurried approach to yoga. This practice includes prep poses, gentle stretches, restorative poses and basic standing postures.
Beginners Yoga and Meditation - Are you interested in yoga and meditation but don’t where to begin? Do you want a safe and welcoming environment for exploring the basics? This class is an enjoyable and effective way to discover the many benefits yoga and meditation have to offer.
Yoga 1 - Standing poses, and other fundamental postures are emphasized, including shoulderstand. Introductory pranayamas (breathing exercises) are taught.
Yoga 1-2 - Is a continuation class for Yoga 1. The emphasis is on refining and building endurance in Yoga 1 and Yoga 2 standing poses.
Yoga 2 - For students with an understanding and integration of Level 1 postures.
Yoga 2-3 - Continues Yoga 2 poses and adds the fundamentals of handstand, headstand, and forearm balance. More challenging standing poses, back bends, and seated poses are taught. Regular practice outside of class is encouraged.
Yoga 3 - For students who can kick up against the wall unassisted in handstand, push up into Up Bow, and can hold a supported headstand.
Mixed Level - Open to all students regardless of experience.
Flow - A well-balanced and vigorous style which links breath and movement through a heat and strength building sequence of postures. Expect an accumulative warm up opening the body and the last portion of the practice to be dedicated to healing and restoration. For the physically active and although beginners are welcome, some previous yoga experience is required.
A.M. Yoga - Morning is the ideal time to revitalize the body and center the mind. A series of gentle yoga poses that increases circulation, improves mobility, and energize your mind. A good choice for new or beginning students.
