Casey discovered meditation in 2001 at the Kadampa Meditation Center in Sarasota. For eight years, she worked a traveling job practicing meditation in various centers across the country. Her study of meditation has included: Tibetan meditation, Zen meditation, yoga meditation, and transcendental meditation. In 2011 Casey went to Thailand and participated in a nine day silent meditation retreat that involved eleven hours of meditation per day. Then she went to India where she practiced yoga at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre for three weeks. These two experiences radically transformed her meditation and yoga practices. Casey is elated to have been asked to share her perspectives on meditation with the students of Yoga from the Heart.
