Tracey MacKay, RYT-200, E-RYT-200, began working in the fitness industry in 1985. In 1997 while crewing on yachts in the Caribbean, Tracey turned to yoga as a mean of exercise in a limited space. Over the years her passion and curiosity for yoga grew leading her to participate in yoga workshops and retreats along the East Coast of the US and throughout the Eastern Caribbean.
Tracey completed her 1st teacher training program in 2004 and began teaching yoga in local gyms, spas, and resorts throughout the island of St. Thomas. In 2005 she partnered with her instructor to design and implement a yoga and fitness program for the Ritz Carlton, St. Thomas. In 2007, she completed her 2nd teacher-training program with Cyndi Lee, founder of OM Yoga of NY.
Tracey moved to Florida late in 2008 to be closer to family. She has been and currently is the yoga instructor and fitness co-oridinator for the Ritz Carlton, Sarasota.The physicality of yoga is what initially attracted Tracey to the practice, but it’s the philosophy of yoga that continues to hold her interest and spark her desire to seek knowledge and personal growth. Tracey teaches vinyasa flow yoga with attention on alignment. She teaches in an energetic playful style and is committed to offering a safe and positive teaching environment. Her goal is to help her students find ease and stability within their yoga postures. In addition to yoga, Tracey also holds certifications in Pilates mat, group fitness instructor, and as a personal trainer.
